Description

We find ourselves in Santiago's Pre-Mountain Range, where signs of the metropolis disappear and native flora and fauna come alive. We will begin going up through a marked path. The first half hour is a zigzag that ascends through the north hillside which ends when we reach the edge that we will follow up to the peak. This is a good place to rest and contemplate the scenery.

We will continue another half hour through the edge, which is quite vegetated, until the base of the final cone, somewhat steeper and rockier, where we will be able to take another break and enjoy the setting. Now we only have left to ascend a last half hour in between rocks and cacti so we can reach the top. Once in it, we will be able to observe on a clear day, the entire valley of Santiago and a good part of the Central Andes. Over our heads it is highly probable that we will see condors silently gliding in circles. A beautiful spectacle.
